With Microsoft’s Office Web Apps out in the wild , I thought it was time to try to test their limits. For a while now, Microsoft has said that the experience on the iPhone would be similar to that in other mobile browsers –allowing document viewing, but not the editing and other features found in the full Web Apps. Through some work, though, I managed to get the iPad to try to open up the full Office Web Apps

I’m constantly browsing the new releases, most popular lists, and iPhone/iPad-focused Web sites for hidden gems. The other day, I took a chance on an iPad game that didn’t seem like my cup of tea, but the user opinions were through the roof. Hotel Mogul HD ($4.99, iPad only) looked to me like a casual game that would quickly become boring

Chrome continues usage gains over rivals

Google’s Chrome browser continued to carve away share of worldwide browser usage from rivals in May, new statistics show. Chrome's usage share worldwide bumped over the 7 percent mark in May 2001, according to Net Applications. (Credit: Net Applications) Chrome rose 0.3 percentage points to 7.1 percent of share, said Net Applications , which monitors browser usage on a network of Web sites

Sobees: The iPad’s ultimate Facebook app

For the moment, Sobees for Facebook is the slickest way to view Facebook content on your iPad. (Credit: Sobees) Let’s face it: the pixel-doubled version of the current Facebook app, well, bites. I’m sure the company will give us an iPad-optimized version at some point, but until then (and possibly even after then), I’m sticking with Sobees.
